# ERP APIs (SyBox)

Where: Settings > Integrations > ERP APIs

What it is for:

Your own systems, shown as buttons beside each chat. When an agent opens a conversation, SyBox asks your system about that customer and shows the answer next to the chat, so the agent never has to leave SyBox. The answer can be orders, balance, tickets or anything else your system returns. SyBox sends the customer's phone number, or their email address on an email conversation.

There are three types of ERP API:

- "Rail tab — show data next to the chat": a button on the inbox side bar. Clicking it shows your system's data for the open customer.
- "Message action — post a message from its menu": a new item in the menu of an incoming WhatsApp message. The agent picks it, can edit the text, and clicks Send. SyBox then posts that text to your system. Your system can answer "done", show an error, ask the agent a Yes/No question, or ask the agent to type one line.
- "Products — search your catalogue and send an item to the chat": the agent types what the customer wants. Your system returns matching products, shown as cards with name, price, picture and stock. One tap puts the product link into the message box.

### How to add an ERP API

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > ERP APIs.

2. Click "Add ERP API".

3. Choose the "Type" (see the three types above).
4. Fill in "Display name", the full name of the integration.
5. Fill in "Button name", the short label people see on the button or menu item.
6. Under "Button icon", click the icon you want for the button.
7. In "ERP API URL", paste your system's address. It must start with http:// or https://.
8. In "ERP Token", paste the token from your system, if it uses one. SyBox sends it with every request so your system knows the call is really from you.
9. Optional: under "Custom headers", click "Add header" to send extra name/value pairs with every request, for example a branch code. Each header has its own on/off switch, so you can pause it without deleting it. Click the trash icon to remove a header. A few header names that SyBox uses itself are ignored.
10. Click Save.

The new button appears in the inbox right away. You do not need to reload the page.

### How to edit, pause or delete an ERP API

1. Find its card in the ERP APIs list.
2. Click Edit to change anything. To keep the saved token, leave "ERP Token" empty ("leave blank to keep current").
![To edit, pause or delete an ERP API: "Edit" marked on the screen in SyBox](https://www.smartsybox.com/res/sybox/help/edit-pause-or-delete-an-erp-api-2.webp?v=a2d3baac)
3. Click Enable / Disable to hide or show the button in the inbox. A disabled card is marked "Disabled".
4. Click Delete, then confirm "Delete this integration?".

What the card shows: the name, the button name, the address, and "Active" or "Disabled". It shows "No token" if no token is saved. If a token is saved, only its last characters are shown.

Rules and messages:

- "Display name", "Button name" and "ERP API URL" are required. If one is missing you see "Incomplete data".
- The address must start with http:// or https://.

Building your side: the public SyBox Developer Documentation (on the SyBox website, under Developers) explains what SyBox sends and how your system should answer. This includes the display formats, clickable rows that open one record's details, and product search.

**Q: I added an ERP API but there is no button beside the chat.**

Check that the card shows "Active". A "Rail tab" or "Products" type is a button on the inbox side bar. A "Message action" type is not a side-bar button: it appears in the menu of an incoming WhatsApp message.

**Q: The panel opens but shows no data or an error.**

SyBox shows whatever your system returns. Check that your address is reachable from the internet, that the token is correct, and that your system can find the customer by phone number (or by email on email conversations).

**Q: Can I connect more than one system?**

Yes. Add as many ERP APIs as you need. Each one gets its own button.

**Q: Who can see the data in the panel?**

Team members who can open that conversation in the inbox.
